Tiffanie and Andy’s engagement session at Santa Cruz

Andy and Tiffanie met in June 2008 when she was studying for her undergraduate degree. They had been introduced to each other through friends after some effort to get Tiffanie away from her books. When Tiffanie first met Andy, she thought he was a very easy going, down-to-earth type of guy. He’s very funny and has never failed to make her laugh, even on the cloudiest days.

After the first meeting, Andy and Tiffanie continued to hang out more and more. Three months later, they had their first real date together and became a couple on that day.

Flash forward to 4 years later…

On the day before the proposal, Tiffanie had received her admission offer to a graduate nursing program. She and Andy was supposed to celebrate the next day with brunch. When she woke up, she was pleasantly surprised to find the first clue that began her scavenger hunt.

Tiffanie is a hardcore fan of the popular television show “The Amazing Race.” Knowing that, Andy designed his proposal into “The Amazing Race: Tiffanie Edition.” He laid out 7 clues all over the bay area at places that are significant to them. Tiffanie had to go search for each clue. At the end of the race, Andy was standing at the finish line at a park near his house. After his speech, he got down on one knee and proposed. Of course she said yes!

Ten years ago, I left the mortgage and real estate business to pursue photography, which is a passion of mine. The mortgage business was excellent at that time but I was tired of it. I had a daughter that was just born and I wanted to do something that would allow me to spend more time with her and at the same time do what I wanted. I knew that I enjoyed people photography and soon discovered that I have a very real and special talent for it. I discovered that I was particularly good at capturing moments and revealing emotions through pictures. This came instinctively for me and allowed me to develop a style that was very comfortable for me to work in. My photography quickly became popular in the bay area and I've earned a large number of referral businesses as a result. In fact, i'd say I most of my business growth is the result of referrals from clients and online sites like Yelp. I currently have a studio in downtown San Jose and photograph weddings and portraits all over the bay area and California.
